Welcome to the Rochester Gay Men's Chorus

Rochester Gay Men's Chorus with Director Dr. Robert Strauss

Welcome to the home of the Rochester Gay Men’s Chorus. For more than 30 years the RGMC has exemplified excellence in choral arts by serving the Greater Rochester Community as well as all of Western New York.

We currently perform three concerts annually and also participate in many other public appearances throughout the community. Through the passion of our music, our goal is to touch the hearts and souls of all those who listen.

Announcing Voice Placement for Our QUEEN Concert

A Narrow Bridge

Voice placement for our Spring Concert, Queen - We Will Rock You, will take place on Thursday March 30, 2017 at 6:00 pm.

During voice placement, our Artistic Director, Dr. Robert Strauss, will take a few minutes to listen to your range and voice type using some simple vocalization. The voice placement is also an opportunity to chat with Rob about what you'd like to gain from your choral experience with RGMC and to discuss the most effective ways for you to contribute to the ensemble.

Please e-mail Dr. Strauss with any questions or to schedule an appointment for voice placement. Come sing with us!

Join With Us to Be #Upstanders

Tyler Clementi FoundationWe are proud to stand with the Tyler Clementi Foundation in pledging to be #Upstanders. Will you stand with us?

There are simple steps you can take to make a huge difference in the fight against bullying: don't use insulting or demeaning language, speak up if you see prejudicial behavior, and reach out to support people who are feeling depressed. Read more on the Upstander Pledge.

We will honor the work of the Foundation, and the life and legacy of Tyler, at our March 18 concert, A Narrow Bridge.
